What We Believe

By the power of the Word and the Spirit, Faith Fellowship Church is a fellowship of believers who are committed to a daily transformation of lives, relationships, and culture for Christ.

As a Reformed and Evangelical congregation, Faith Fellowship has a set of principles from which we do not vary. We believe the Bible, as it consists in the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God. It is the instruction manual which God gave man, that he may know Him and know how to serve Him.

We believe in the sovereign, triune, creator God. He is three persons; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory. God offers salvation to those He chose before the foundation of the world. That salvation is free, and the saved are assured of their salvation throughout eternity.

Jesus Christ, the Son of God was born of a virgin, lived a perfect life, was crucified, dead, and buried. He defeated death when He rose from the dead and ascended to the right hand of the Father. He is fully God and fully man, and He is the only Savior for sinners.

The Holy Spirit regenerates and indwells God’s people. He has led and enlightened the church throughout time, and he continues to guide believers in their walk on earth.

Satan is real. He exercises his control over unregenerate man, and he lurks about seeking whom he may devour.

Man is a sinner, justly deserving God’s displeasure. Man cannot save himself. Man fell with Adam in original sin, and continues to live in his sinful state. Salvation comes by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

The new life that comes to those who believe in Jesus is one of love and obedience to God. It is seen in a love for His Word and a love for other Christians.

We accept the Westminster Confession of Faith of 1647, with its Larger and Shorter Catechisms, as our system of doctrine.
